You know the rule with pancakes, about the first one always coming out a bit weirdly shaped but you still eat it and then the rest are better. Well we’re going to apply that same thinking to this post. It’s going to be a bit awkward and weirdly shaped but if you stick around then maybe, just maybe we’ll be able to get through the rest just fine.
I’m meant to introduce myself but nothing I say will truly prepare any of you for…well me. I can tell you that I’m sarcastic but no one really understands how sarcastic until they experience it first hand. Lets just say that I learnt a lot from Chandler Bing.
I could also tell you that I’m a bit of geek but you’ll figure that out from the numerous pop culture references that are bound to happen.
Lets start with a few things you might not pick up quite so easily. My name is S.J. Smith, I’m a Capricorn, don’t enjoy long walks of any kind but I do like a good book. I actually like books so much that I’ve gone ahead and I’ve written one. I’m still working through the editing stage but my goal is to have it published by the end of May.
It’s about the daughter of a Mafia boss who is just trying to navigate highschool, boys and friends. Despite knowing the dangers that come with being a part of the Family business she is still determined to follow in her father’s footsteps. There’s love, there’s laughter, maybe even a little blackmail and definitely a lot of sass.
Honestly I like it, but I’m biased. My mum also told me it’s good but she has to say that because she’s my mum. I hope that soon it’ll be out there for others to tell me what they think. I also hope that their reviews are nice because deep deep down I’m soft and vulnerable.
I think I’ve covered all of the suggested points to hit in the first blog post. So for now I will go and maybe make some more pancakes.
xoxo
